NOTICE OF VACANCY ON THE CITY COUNCIL

OF THE CITY OF PERU, NEMAHA COUNTY, NEBRASKA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a vacancy on the City Council of the City of Peru, Nemaha County, Nebraska effective on June 22^nd, 2026. Applicants for this position shall reside within the corporate limits of the City of Peru and be a registered voter.

Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their letter of application to the Office of the City Clerk by Wednesday, July 1^st, 2026, at 10:00am, for consideration for the appointment by the Mayor, Theresa Westfall. This appointment is subject to the approval of the City Council at the special meeting on July 2^nd, 2026 at 6:00pm.

Upon approval by the City Council, the appointee will be sworn in to fulfill the remainder of the unexpired term. The term for this position expires on December 2028.
